The Egyptian national handball team is the national handball team of Egypt, which represents Egypt in international matches. It is supervised by the Egyptian Handball Federation. Egypt was the first non-European team to reach the semifinals of the World Championships, and the first African team to reach the semifinals in the Olympic tournament. Egypt men handball team is widely regarded as the finest handball team in Africa.

The Tunisian national handball team (Arabic: منتخب تونس لكرة اليد‎), nicknamed Les Aigles de Carthage (The Eagles of Carthage or The Carthage Eagles), is the national handball team of Tunisia. It is governed by the Tunisian Handball Federation and takes part in international handball competitions. The Tunisian handball League was founded in 1953. In 1957, the Tunisians founded the Tunisian handball Federation, which was later admitted into the International Handball Federation in 1962. The Tunisian national handball team has participated in several handball world championships. In 2005 Tunisia finished in 4th place; becoming the second non-European team to reach the World Championship semi-finals after Egypt who was able to reach the semi-final match in 2001. The Tunisian national handball team won the African Cup 10 times. The Tunisians won the 2018 African Cup in Gabon by defeating Egypt in the final match. Egypt and Algeria are Tunisia's only rivals in the African continent. The national league consists of about 12 teams, with ES. Sahel and Club Africain dominating. There are other teams like ES Tunis and AS Hammamet. These teams have many players who play in the Tunisian national team which also includes players who play in European teams. The former national team player, Walid Ben Amor played in Barcelone F.C. Most of these players play in the French championship.
