Cracovia is the oldest Polish football club still in existence (teams from Lwów were a few years older, but the city of Lwow was occupied and subsequently annexed by the Soviet Union in September 1939 and is now part of Ukraine), and has continually participated in competition since its founding on 13 June 1906. The team currently plays its matches in the Józef Piłsudski Stadium situated next to the Błonia Park, located in the Zwierzyniec district of Kraków.
